Less then 7 weeks and counting

Here are some pics of my ever-growing belly/self. We only have a little less then 7 weeks left. I can't wait to see her. We haven't started on the nursery yet, as long as she likes blue it's cool!

I forgot how sexy you feel when you are pregnant. And by "sexy" I mean anything but!

Here are some pics of Christmas at Grandma and Grandpa Twede'sDarren and Bea and Bethany.

Dawn and Scott (they live in Dubai now). This is the tannest I have ever seen my sister.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

The green bike Rayce had been talking about all month.

Christmas Eve we just hung out by ourselves and had a quiet night at home. We decided to demolish our gingerbread houses. Rayce quite enjoyed it!

Then we watched the train movie ( Polar Express). After the movie we made cookies for Santa and got carrots ready for the reindeer. Rayce was very excited to put the cookies out. We also left a candle out so that Santa could see, Rayce was really convinced that Santa would want the candle. Then we left Santa a note with a picture of the green bike that Rayce had been talking about for a month. Mike also showed some of his artistic expertise and drew some fancy reindeer upon Rayce's request. Here is a picture of the enormous box that we had to go buy to put the infamous "green bike", already assembled, in. Rayce had a ball that morning opening all of the gifts, not only his, but pretty much all of ours too.

The day started out pretty good until we had to take off for Grandma's house. Rayce had a melt down and from that time on it was a rough day. All he wanted was presents. I finally took him home and put him down. Later we went up to G-pa Helms and once again he was super onery. He kept pushing and bossing around his 1 yr old cousin. I think that the month of anticipation finally got to him and he burst. Christmas is a little much for such a little kid to soak in. Next year we are going to hold back on the hype at least a little bit. All in all it was a great day.
The day after was at Grandma Twede's and things went a little smoother there. I love Christmas but I think that once a year is definately enough!

WAKE UP THE ECHOS

So my son is a genius. I know, I know, everyone says their kids are the smartest and most amazing. They are wrong. Rayce is pure genius. A couple of weeks ago I taught him to tell people he wants to go to college at Norte Dame and that he wants to play football for the Fighting Irish. I know you all think I am brainwashing him - which I am - but this kid at two knows the words to the Irish fight song. All football is Irish to him. He loves the Irish like his dad does. So Sunday night we are coming home from a Christmas party and Lez and I are talking and I mention that we need to set up a college fund for Rayce. Before Lez can reply I hear this from the back seat. "Dad you want to come to Notre Dame with me?" I said, "what Rayce". He again says. "Dad you want to come to Notre Dame with me?" I would be lying if I said I didn't have tears in my eyes.

Yes son, I will come to Notre Dame with you.

Onward to Victory.

So much fun

I love the time of year that I can slip into some camo and say things like flush, sign, birdie, shot size, double barrel over under, and other such hunting things. Plus it is just fun to hang out with your buddies and be dirt bags. I hate to toot my own horn, but I can play dirt bag with the best of 'em thanks to my seven years as an electrician. My cousin Zach (orange hat & green jacket) works for Sportsmans Paradise in Paradise, UT. I was accompanied by Dalley (white bandana), Cuellar (gangster in black beanie), Zack (orange hat), and my brother Chris ( gray beanie). Between me falling in the creek up to my knee (now I believe them when they tell you wool stays warm even when wet) and Cuellar falling through the ice to end up in a pile on the wet ground it was a great afternoon. We shot 9 of our 13 birds and missed the other four like we were all rookies. I will go with the excuse that I was shooting my new Winchester 101 Field over under 12 gauge. That might not mean much to most of you, but if you know even a little about shotguns you know that I was stoked to be shooting my new gun. So there was a learning curve. As for the others who missed, you guys just plain suck.

Which Disney Princess Are You?

You are Cinderella. You are hard-working and never complain, however, your trust is sometimes misplaced and people sometimes take advantage of you. Still, you are beautiful inside and out, and one day you will realize it and find true love.

We love dinosaurs

We finally mad our first treck to the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point. Rayce had a blast. Every time we drive past the building he has to see the dinosaurs and asks if we can go there. It is a little bit of a rip-off but we had a great time and I think that he will like it even more when he gets a little bit older.

he had to touch the painting

here is his serious face!

HAPPY THANKS-EATING

I can't believe that Thanksgiving has already come and gone and we are well on our way to Christmas. I think that Thanksgiving is a great holiday and all but we go to all that preparation for one 20 min meal, it should last longer. I think that we should just graze all day instead of stuffing ourselves at one sitting (or several if you have to go lots of places) or something like that. All that starch just goes to our brain and slows down our neurologic functioning and the only thing that most of us are capable of doing is sitting on the couch and staring at the TV. I don't even think that it is safe to drive on Thanksgiving!! I am pretty sure the pilgrims didn't drive after their feast. Here is a picture of Mike and my brother after they had lost all neurologic control! Hee Hee Hee
I am really just kidding, I love Thanksgiving! All the great food, family, maybe a Christmas project or two, the games, the football, and hopefully a lot of Thankfulness too. We spent the day at my mom's and then stopped by Mike's dad's that evening. This was actually the first year we only ate at one place, it was awesome! I don't even think that we got too stuffed. Rayce played super hard with his cousins and only re-surfaced to eat for 5 seconds. It was a great day and here are some pics of the "holidaying".
Rayce and Dorrie being silly!
Here is my madre, indian style! Quite fitting don't you think!
