My Opinion

In my opinion we are turning into a country of pansies. The fact that people don't say Merry Christmas, Happy Hanuka, or something else because they are worried about offending someone that doesn't celebrate "their" holiday is crap. So now we are supposed to say Happy Holidays. Which I don't have a problem hearing, but I am not saying it to spare some jerkasses feelings. If I said Merry Christmas to someone and they were offended because they are Muslim why should I feel bad? I didn't know you were Muslim. I didn't mean you should change your faith and celebrate Christmas. I was being polite. Get over it. You should feel like an ass for making a big deal out it. See my point. People can't even take a nice sentiment these days. They expect you to know everything about them and kiss their ass because you should observe their difference from yourself. Bull SH**. Grow up and say thanks and move on. These special interest groups that want everyone to bow down to them are killing the spirit of the holidays. You can't even say certain things because they might get the devil's hechmen at the ACLU to sue you for discrimination.

October was super busy. We have a lot of family birthdays and we had a lot of Halloween celebrating too. My sister Jennifer had a party at her house. Rayce decided what we would each be for Halloween: Dad- a prince, Mom- an indian, and himself a cowboy. He didn't have any opinion on Lanie's costume so I found a good deal on Craig's list ($5 brand new). By the way she is chicken not a duck, all of the little kids kept calling her a duck. We had another family party at Mike's mom's, a trunk-or-treat and a dress up birthday party. Rayce wore his costume 4 whole times before Halloween and he never got bored of it, I even offered to make him a different one because I was bored of it but he said no way man.

So. . . .Obama won the election. Here's my rant. It could get lengthy.

I truly don't know where to start so I am just going to start typing. I want to begin with a few things. First, I think we just voted someone into office that no one knows much about. I will touch on this later. Second, I in no way support this man, but do hope for my country I am 100% wrong.

Now I may say some things here that piss you off. Good. That should hopefully make you wonder why your mad. Then you can tell me about it. Most the time when I get mad it's because someone proved me wrong. I don't like to be wrong. I don't like to be proved wrong. But I try to learn something when I realize I am.

These are my biggest issues with your new president elect. So here we go.

1. Most the people I know are hard working individuals that aspire to be wealthy. Finacially secure. They don't like to part with their money. I donate money to causes I feel are worthy. I pay a tithe. Sometimes it's really hard, but I figure I have benefited from other people giving in my life so I should return the favor. However, that is my choice. I don't want anyone taking my hard earned money and giving it away. President Bush just did it and I didn't like it. How can someone vote for this person when he has admitted he is going to "spread the wealth around"? Did you people hear this? Did you just not listen? Do you support socialism because that is what it is in it's purest form. You can't argue that it's not. That is not America. Explain to me why you voted for him knowing he was going to give your money to someone who doens't want to work as hard as you? Strive as hard as you. Someone who is willing to sit home and collect a check that you provided to them through your hard work. If you support this I can't support you. My money is my money is my money. However if you support this because you want your cheese too, then I really can't stand you.

2. I am a gun owner. I own somewhere in the area of 15-20 guns. Guess how many times something irresponsible has been done with those guns. You can have three guesses. That's right, not once. It is my constitutional right to have them. Obama wants to take that right away like it will fix things. The bad guys will still have them and all that means is the bad guy breaking into my house know that he has a gun and I am stuck bringing a knife to a gun fight. If you own a gun, if you are a responsible gun owner, how could you vote for someone that wants to take that right away from you. Maybe you have seen "the light" and you now think guns are bad and you are going to give them up and support him killing the second amendtment. If so, can I buy your guns.

3. I have two kids. They have opened my eyes to how amazing life is. They truly are miracles. The fact that so many things could go wrong prior to birth but didn't is amazing to me. They are the most precious things in my life. When I was really young someone hurt someone very colse to me very badly. I remember talking about it when I was a teenager and hearing someone say "I was going to kill them". I thought no way, he wouldnt' kill them. Now that I have kids, I understand, he would have. I would kill someone that hurts my kids like that person hurt that person in my life. This man that is going to be our President has no respect for these things. Even though he himself has two beautiful children. He has referred to pregnancy as nothing more than an STD. He supports aborting a baby at full term by means that I won't type here, but are nothing other than murder. He distgusts me. If you have kids this should disgust you too. Even if you don't have kids it should disgust you. He has voted multiple times to legalize these kinds of abortions. Don't freak out here like I only pro-life. I support some pro-choice ideas. How is it this can be considered legal when if someone shoots a pregnant lady they are charged swith her murder and the murder of her unborn child. A little conflict here isnt' there. On this alone I could never support this man.

4. He refuses to prove his citizenship. If you disagree with me on this issue then you more than anyone should want him to prove it to get people like me to shut up about it. The birth certificate he produced was only deemed original by a group that he once raised $60 million for and at one time sat on their board. Again am I the only one here that sees this as a conflict of interest? Senator McCain (just a reference here, I don't care for him either) was born in Panama to U.S. citizens and when asked about it hid nothing. He quickly provided all his birth information as well as a valid U.S. birth certificate showing he is a natural citizen of the United States of America. This person that won our election won't even do that. Where is the public outcry on this. This is the highest office in our county and no one out there is going to hold him to the coals on this and say we want to know your a natural citizen? It is a law of our county. Whether you agree with it or not, it's a law. Again, if you support him you should more than me want him to provide this document to silence all us nay-sayer.

I could go on, but have gone on too much already.

If you support this man then you must support these principles of his that I so greatly disagree with. Please tell me why you support these principles. Email if you want if your worried about others chastising you. I welcome your arguments. I want to know why you support these views. Open my mind.

Obama may be the president elect, but I will never support him until he has proven me dead wrong. You can have him.

My Opinion

It's time to vote. Today is the day.

I am astounded at the fact that anyone after hearing Obama admit that he wants to "spread the wealth around" is still voting for him. Even if you hate McCain how can you support taking money from someone who EARNED it and giving to someone else. No one deserves my money. I bust my ass for it. Even if Obama was the greatest thing in the world and was going to fix all our problems he still would not get my vote. This isn't a socialist country. We are free to not have to give if we don't want to. Let alone be forced to.

If you aspire to make good money. A lot of money. The kind of money that everyone wants so they can secure their kids future as well as their own, how could you vote for this man? If you are self employed he will destroy your business. He made fun of a plumber. His words were synical when he said "I don't know any plumbers that make $250k". Well I guarantee you they don't take it home, but their small business brings it in. Now he wants to screw the hardworking people that bust their asses day in and day out.

I am leaving for the polls. I will be praying in line that this man loses.

My Opinion

In my opinion we should all take a few moments out of every day and thank God or whoever or whatever you believe in for everything we have in our lives that we all take for granted everyday. Right down to the toothpaste you put on your toothbrush that helps keep your chiclets from falling out your coconut.

And when your done thanking him or whatever it is you believe in, ask them to see our country through the next four years. I have a feeling we're going to need it.

Free dinner anyone?

I wrote the title and never finished the post. So here it goes...
I got a postcard for a free meal at Carabbas in the mail a couple of weeks ago. I am not big on cupons or stuff like that, not that I don't think that they are worth it or anything, it is just that I usually cut them out and never end up remembering to use them. Sometimes stuff like that isn't worth the bother. Well any ways I was just about to throw the said FREE MEAL away when a ray of light hit me and I decided to give it a chance. On the card it said that you could invite up to 3 couples to join you, that sealed the deal. I called the number, left a message for Patrick and the rest was left to fate (HA HA). Good old Patty boy called me back and we set up reservations for Wed Oct 6th at 6:20 pm sharp. Did I mention that the premiss of the whole evening was fire safety. You listen to a presentation on fire safety and they feed you a free dinner. We all need a little extra fire safety in our lives right?
I figured a night out with just adults was worth listening to the presentation. I called and invited some friends and then on Wednsday I reconfirmed with Patrick. We were set. We just had to make sure we arrived at the resturant at 6:20 to get a seat.
Us and the Duncans got to the resturant first. I went up to the podium and asked them if they needed to know the name of our party, the girl said no. We told her we were waiting on one more couple and she said that she would just go ahead and seat us and then send the other couple back. On the postcard it said that everything was on the house, "leave your wallets at home". The waiter brought out the menus and went to get our drinks just as Ryan and Becky showed up. We couldn't believe that they were giving us such extensive menus to choose from. We had just ordered the apitizer platter and some specialty drinks when Ryan overheard someone say that "the fire safety thing was in the banquet room up front". My stomach sunk, what an air head I was, I just assumed that the girl at the front knew why we were there...I just assumed that the whole resturant would be used for the fire safety presentation. I FELT SO STUPID. We immediately found our waiter and told him the mix up. We took our drinks over to the banquet room and they was good old Patrick. We told him the situation and asked if there were seats in the room. The room was full....but they decided to let us have dinner anyways and we didn't have to listen to the presentation. So we got to go back to our booth and hang out with our friends, and eat a pretty decent "free" dinner with no strings attached!!
The night couldn't have turned out more perfect. We ate dinner and hung out at the mall for a bit. And the best part was that when we were getting in our cars to go home the rest of the "free dinner" eaters were still in the resturant watching a video on fire safety!

Oh it's great when your team beats your friends team. You being an eagles fan wouldn't really understand, but trust me, it feels goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood.

My Opinion

In my opinion we're screwed come election time.

I don't care who you like. I don't care why you like them. Just remember that when either candidate wins, he will do something you like, but he will do something to totally screw you as well.

If you are self employed you best be voting for McCain. Otherwise you can start to kiss more of your hard earned pesos good bye so that President Obama can give more people welfare. Most people on that system totally deserve it too and would never abuse it.

If you consider yourself an environmentalist you best vote for Obama. Otherwise say hello to offshore drilling and other drilling in areas you don't agree with. At the same time say good bye to some of your rights to keep and bear arms. Senator Obama is a fierce opponent of your right to own guns. He has already helped pass strict gun laws and wants you to have to register your ammo as well as your guns.

I myself am writing Robert Redford into the ballet and voting for him. If Hollywood loves him so much he has to be good right?

Last but not least, if you buy into all the b.s. these two are shoveling at you. Your a tool.

My little guy is all grown up
I really can't believe how fast time flies. The first couple months with your newborn seem to last forever and then suddenly they turn three. I came across these pics on Mike's computer the other day and couldn't get over how stinking cute Raycer was (and still is) when he was a baby. I just wanted to tell him how proud I am to be his Mom, how flattered I am that he chose me.

How lucky we are as women to mother these beautiful, strong, teachable, perfect little spirits. There is not a day that goes by that I am not amazed at how smart Rayce is. The things he says and the way his mind works always amazes me, and a lot of times makes me laugh. Children are truely PERFECT and more than anything I think that they are here to teach us (at least me) more then we are here to teach them.
One of the biggest lessons I have learned from being a mother is how much more I need to learn! Each day I am reminded of what I need to work on and be better at. Parenting is God's attempt at perfecting us as adults. I need all the perfecting that I can get, so I hope that Rayce stays really patient! If he is anything like his mom he will have to work on it too!

Over Labor Day weekend we ventured down to Southern California to help Mike's sister install a bamboo floor in their awesome ranch style house. The plane rides went really smooth, both times I got Lanie to go to sleep while nursing and then some LOUDY on the plane would wake her up. Don't you just love it when people hack up a lung on the plane, you got to love that re-circulated air! We flew into San Diego and visited some of our friends and family before driving up to Bonsall.
Mike worked most of the time and the kids and I just did a lot of hanging out. It was a really relaxing weekend. Rayce had the most fun looking for frogs at night, helping aunt Sunny with Cheyanne, hanging outside, looking for bugs, watching tadpoles (which ended up being mosquito larva..GROSS), and most of all helping with the floor (by helping I mean, using a shop pencil to write on just about everything and carrying a rubber malet with him at all times). We also got to hang out with Andy, Mellisa, and Bell. They came down from Burbank to spend Sunday with us. THANKS guys!
We stopped at a WAHOO's in San Diego to have lunch and hang out by this fountain at Rayce's request.

We went to the beach in Carlsbad the last day and hung out for a couple of hours. The water was super warm, like a big bath tub. Lanie and Rayce both decided that they needed to eat some salty sand, and they actually both liked it!

Here are Rayce and Sunny feeding the horse. Seriously he helped her every day with all of the horse duties, that included pooper scooping!! What a helpful little guy he is! Sunny actually cried the day after we left because her little helper was gone.

Little miss pea took her first "real" crawl steps on Monday night. I was at work so Mike got to witness the momentous event! He called me right after it happened. What a proud daddy! He was out of town when Rayce started to crawl so I am glad he got to be the one to see Lanie's first crawl. He is also very happy about her first words, "da da da". Did I mention that she has her daddy wrapped around her little finger!

My whole family was in town this summer and we decided we had better document the occasion so here are the photos to prove it. There are 32 of us now and even more to come. Thanks goes to Camille for taking the pics, it is not easy to photograph such a large family, especially when you have to push the timer and run into it too! I am truly blessed to have such a great family. I wish that Dawn and Scott could live here or at least visit more often.

STINKY BREATH

So I have to blog this funny story. The other night I was working and Rayce fell asleep before I got home (around 7:30pm). He hadn't eaten anything and we couldn't wake him up. I knew that he would probably wake up in the middle of the night HUNGRY, so I forced him to drink some "cocoa moo" in attempt to help him stay asleep all night. Well 2:30 am rolled around and sed Hungry Boy woke up and came into our room. He said that he was starving. In the mean time little miss Lanie decided to wake up too. I told Rayce to lay in bed with Mike so I could put Lanie back down and then grab him a snack. While he and Mike were laying there this awesome conversation transpired:
Rayce: dad your breath STINKS!!!
Mike: Oh, sorry bud I will just roll over
Rayce: Dad I got a good idea....how about you just stop breathing?
is that a good idea!
Mike told me about Rayce's genius plan the next morning, I was laughing so hard I almost stopped breathing.

MISS SUNSHINE'S PRESCHOOL

Rayce started preschool this year. He is toilet trained and ready to learn! We are so excited for our big boy. He loves miss Sunshine and seems to like all of the kids. He says Treyce is his favorite, even though they seem to butt heads at times. I guess "birds of a feather flock together"! here are some pics of his first day. What a handsome guy he is. I have put in a request for my children not to grow up so fast, but apparently the request has been denied. We love our Raycer and are so proud of the big boy he is growing up to be! Have fun in school Rayce!

BEAR LAKE 2008

Every year we go to my bro-in-law Ben's family cabin up at Bear Lake. The cabin is north of Lake Town on the East side. All you have to do is cross the road to a private gated beach, it is AWESOME!! They have all the toys you could imagine: sea doos, arcade games, nintendo wii, a golf cart (for transporting gear and children of course), a dune buggy, 2 huge 4-wheelers, a sail boat, and don't forget the sweet tractor. We all get together eat lots of great food, sit out in the sun (if it happens to be around), play games, and chew the fat! It is a lot of fun and most of all Raycer has a ball! We are truly blessed to have such a great family. I love that my kids love their cousins so much. Thanks again Cassitys!! See you again next year!
